When considering renting an office unit, would a squarish layout be more suitable than a narrow one? Are there any specific concerns to take into account? This question also applies to residential properties.https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/17969-when-considering-renting-an-office-unit-would-a-squarish-layout-be-more-suitable-than-a-narrow-one-are-there-any-specific-concerns-to-take-into-account-this-question-also-applies-to-residential-properties/ Are you interested in leasing an office space?

1. The Shape of the Office Space

1.1. The most secure office interior design is generally one that approximates a square configuration.

1.2. Consequently, irrespective of where the wealth sectors are situated within the grids, achieving wealth luck remains feasible.

 1780499282_9grids.png.2c47cd7749567561c99a074ab232aea6.png

1.3. It is generally noted that a square-shaped interior promotes a more balanced flow of Qi.

174881430_moreuniformflowofqi.png.fa70bf142eea7ff900c60e95bc02e4d8.png

1.4.. For example, the presence of the wealth luck sector in one or more of the $k areas can still facilitate smooth circulation.

1650708623_moreuniformflowofqiwealth.png.e860e9d142ac922261034c648235bbbe.png

2. What about a narrow profile?

2.1. A narrow profile can be likened to the "narrowing of an artery." Consequently, it is anticipated that the financial sectors will be situated either within sector A or in sector A along with the central area of the unit.

2.2. The application of Flying Star Feng Shui indicates that the presence of wealth luck in one or more of the designated pink areas can influence business prosperity.

image.png.5f90d7b3cfe753e4f7c36e8a47d7fd55.png

2.3 The flow of Qi is constricted within a confined space.

1296382204_narrowpoorflowofqi.png.d349d2b92b5eb8f169b5a83b0ca4e7b8.png

2.4. If $ indicates the positive areas of the unit, navigating the entire office space becomes increasingly difficult.

358258098_narrowpoorflowofqi.png.83c1d8fa2cbbcf768a242b959a416ad4.png

2.4.1. The long-term sustainability of the business will undoubtedly be influenced by this factor.

3. It is crucial to avoid selecting a unit that has a missing corner, which is often applicable to office spaces. A missing corner, particularly if situated in an unfavorable position, can adversely affect one's success, especially if it pertains to a wealth corner.

Hi Master,

My friends and I have started a design studio dealing with Interior, graphics and web design.

I have checked and found out the elements of us to be:

Vince: Strong Yang Fire.
Focus: Weak Yin Fire.
Max: Weak Yang Wood.
Baozhu: Strong Yang Wood.

Its seems that we are opposing one another. Pse advise on any actions I can take to make our office a better working environment? Thanks for your enlightenment.

Actually, it is not exactly opposing each other.

Vince and Focus if paired as a pair will help to balance the other's fire.

While Max and Baozhu if paired will help to balance each other's wood.

Together wood helps to fuel fire. So either if you have Water to form Water-

Quote
Wood-
Fire or Earth to form Wood-
Fire-
Earth element. That will be bring harmony as it will form a harmonious five element flow.

Design studio is Interior and graphic design which is more Water element. So you already have water- wood-
fire. So if you can add Earth or Metal you can have all five elements in to create perfect harmony.

Hope that helps.

What is the best type of desk material for office?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/11254-what-is-the-best-type-of-desk-material-for-office/

For home office, in my opinion, there is no major issues with using any of the common materials : wood, glass, metal and many other materials.

1. What is more important is to harmonize say the home office with the flying star chart of that room / sector andone's personal ba zi colours.

2. Majority of office furniture colours tend to be on the conservative side e.g. wood tone colours: ranging from teak wood to oak wood tones.. etc..

3. If one intends to use bright colours e.g. especially BRIGHT YELLOW, BRIGHT RED or BRIGHT GREEN; it has to match the flying star cum personal ba zi elements.

4. The most neutral furniture colours are:

4.1 Wood tone (be it laminates or real wood)
4.2. White or off white or cream (pastel colours)
4.3. Grey tones

The above are generally the most common (acceptable) colours.

The Commerze@Irving, 1 Irving Placehttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/14569-the-commerzeirving-1-irving-place/The Commerze is like an office cum warehouse.
But at level 2; the arrangement is quite "unusual" or rarely seen. Here, it is visible accessible from the frontage with two sets of escalators: one going up and the other going downwards.
To bring people up to the entire level 2 - floor. Here, when one enters the glass swing door; there is a long winding passageway - at the front towards the other side of the building with the toilets and lifts.
What is unusual is the pretty narrow passageway - not that friendly to more than two persons walking side-by side or someone trying to pass each other. Perhaps, all the units frontage are in glass, perhaps to make the crammed area less castrophobic.
A cafe has sprouted, in this floor. Not sure, how long it would last given that it does not look that comfortable environment.
More likely, for such a retail site, people would normally zoom in to a specific unit; perhaps get what they want and scoot away.... Time will tell, if this type of crammed concept would take-off or a total flop!

The Bridge Retail @ Cambodia in Phnom Penhhttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/15977-the-bridge-retail-cambodia-in-phnom-penh/ The Bridge Retail @ Cambodia in Phnom Penh

The Bridge Retail @ Cambodia jointly developed by a Singapore company spots a typical safe rectangular design.

The development is based on rectangular lines thus representing the earth element. One of the most stable  forms of design.

The building is similar to that of many other designs found along Jurong East Central eg. JEM or Westgate.

In a recent article, I wrote about Hotel Royal which was built in the 1970’s. The frontage shares some resemblance of it. Even if that builiowas already close to 40 plus years:

Jobs related to metalhttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/9536-jobs-related-to-metal/

Dear Leonards,

Frankly, there is no right or wrong answers.

For those who study subjects like strategic planning; have to consider things like: The Industry, The Firm, The Individuals (people) in the firm.

For example: in the past, Accounting and Banking in general is associated with money. And there has been a long association with money = metallic coins.

Thus it is not wrong to say that Banking and Accounting is or can be associated with metal. Thus the Industry and even the Firm e.g. a Bank can be considered as belonging to the metal element.

However, as you were wondering... little do you realise that you or the individual working in say an Accounting or Banking industry or firm could be associated with other job specifications.

Thus, if one is selling or marketing a bank's product can be considered as Fire element.

If you are an accountant and analysing the financial reports, sure, you can be considered as performing a Wood function.

Similarly, if one does conveyancing or perform law functions in a bank such as handling title deeds of homes / offices loans.. then one is also doing Fire element.

If one works in a bank but performs IT work, then his major job specifications is Water.

Therefore, please see the point, here. There is really no right or wrong answers.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil

if before grand opening, should we do it before starting the renovations at office?

Reply: Should do it on the 1st day of OPENING or start work.

No harm if want also to do it at the grand opening. (Nice-to - not a must do)

Frankly, there is no hard coded rules. So long as one or all feel good about it

House Feng Shuihttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/19817-house-feng-shui/ Dear Master, first of all, I would like to thank you for this forum to allow me to seek your advice on my feng shui matter. I used to hear some feng shui master talked about the most auspicious feng shui house when a person selected the right house that fully matching to his:

1. Favorable element facing direction.

2. Personal Life Gua.

3. House period flying star (main door location).

For my current house, I rightly match to these 3 criteria. However, my wonder is why this house feng shui didn't support to achieve the favorable outcome since I lived here?

This is my highly pleasure to hearing your advice on this matter.

FYI:

- I am weak Yi wood day master.

- Personal Life Gua 1

- House facing 77 degrees

- double 8 stars main entrance

Choosing Names for businesshttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/15404-choosing-names-for-business/ Question "Hi , good morning.

Just wondering if you can help to choose names for business?

Look forward to your reply."

Reply:

1. There is no precedence for an English name. Furthermore, have to do a search if a company has already used this name or not.

2. Generally, most tend to choose a generic name eg. ABC Food Industries  or an auspicious name like Sunshine ...

3. If one still wants a Chinese company name; then; this is feasible still. And/or hang a company sign..

Heard this recent converstation at the Toyota dealership:-

Tom (Potential semi-luxury car purchaser) : "I like the drive of this Toyota Camry"

Eager salesman: "Yes, this is a semi-luxury car that will fit your bill. Why semi-luxury? This is because; this is one level below our Lexus luxury cars".

Tom: "How reliable is it? Will I get the same problem as those American ones where it may bring up the average risks of a car ploughing into my house in a "T-junction"

Eager salesman: "This car is so well built that now; even Singapore Comfort Delgro is considering this model as their replacement taxi as they found that the Hundai Sonata's are not that reliable"

Tom: "This is bad news! Currently already one taxi company already uses this model! And if Comfort Delgro distributes this to their taxi drivers... I won't want to drive this model"

Eager salesman: "Oh! -- tongue tied ... feeling down and out"

Tom: " Futhermore, you know, I am a Chinese Hokkien. And I won't want to be caught dead in a CAMRY!"

Eager salesman: "Feeling even more depressed...asked: WHY SIR?"

Tom: "For us Hokkiens - CAMRY means " Kiam Lui " = OWE MONEY in hokkien".

Tom: "Fine for taxi drivers since every day before they start their shift; they already owe money; thus this CAMRY car is a perfect fit"

Eager salesman: "OIC! Would you want to consider our SUV instead.."

Tom: "I don't want to die young, especially flipped upside down or die like that in your SUV! Go read the newspaper or reviews!"

Eager salesman: "Why don't you consider our unique MARK "X" instead?"

Tom: "For Camry, at leastit is only "owe money". For mark X; I don't want to be marked for life and further; we Chinese feel that X is inauspicious!" Choy...

Yes, this office on-site service is also very popular!

1. For Three friends/colleagues:

Have many cases where each friend pays only $88/- each. (Minimum fee is $264/-) = 3 persons @ $88 each.

2. For Four to Six friends/colleagues:

Is $68/- each.
Note: But in the event that on the day of visit there are only Three persons, then the fee is as Per Para 1. above.
