Question on how to improve weak Bazihttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/12090-question-on-how-to-improve-weak-bazi/

These are some of the considerations:-

1. The traditional method of applying the ba zi starts as a newborn.

2. Often after a child is born; a parent or grand parent would visit a geomancer to select a newborn's name based on his ba zi characteristics.

3. For example, based on the child's five elements within his chart; the geomancer would recommend a name or a few name choice to the parents to circumvent the "poor ba zi" of the child.

4. Ba zi is basically a snapshot of our life when we were born. And ba zi has several escape clauses where a person's life or MING can change.

5. For example, two persons were born in the day and time but life in different parts of the world. Even twins can share different experiences..

6. Each individual's MING or life will be influenced by those close to him or her; his interaction and experience with family, friends. Another major influence is education. And also things like philantropy etc..

7. Under the Chinese Holy Trinity of luck (you can do a search) for this;

7.1. Heaven luck or born with = ba zi
7.2. Earth luck or Feng Shui
7.3. Human or man luck = relationships

8. Thus, Heaven luck or ba zi is only around 33.3 percent of all total luck in the Chinese system.

9. Some are blessed or lucky with earth luck or Feng Shui or try to squeeze out as much luck from this area.

10. Some have not much earth or heaven luck but have a good support group i.e. great human or man luck factors.

Enquiry on Ba Zi Servicehttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20529-enquiry-on-ba-zi-service/ Hi [name hidden],

Please see my replies below:-

Hi, i would like to purchase the fengshui bazi service. From the service, can i get info like:

1. Is the type of business suits me and my husband (our bazi are totally different)

As long as you take up a ba zi for 2 persons and provide date of birth info for both you and your husband, I will be able to review both the ba zi and advise you on whether the business you have in mind is suitable or which business elements would work best for the two of you.

2. which position facing the shop that i need to choose?

A person’s luck is shaped by three types of luck:

1. Heaven Luck – The luck you are born with and destined to have.
2. Earth Luck – The luck influenced by your home, office, and surrounding environment.
3. Human Luck – The luck derived from your relationships with others and your own efforts.

Each category contributes approximately 33.3% of your overall luck. To maximize your luck, you typically need to focus on improving at least two out of the three (e.g., Heaven Luck and Earth Luck), which can influence about 66.6% of your total luck. The remaining portion comes down to your Human Luck which affects the remaining 33.3% of your total luck.

Through a ba zi review, I can only guide you based on your Heaven Luck. This includes identifying the best facing direction for your shop or home, which is determined by your ba zi and the Eight House Theory. These tools can help reveal which directions are the most suitable for you based on your personal Heaven Luck.

When it comes to feng shui for your home, office, or shop, the external environment plays a crucial role. Factors such as the shop’s location, external feng shui, and Flying Star feng shui significantly influence Earth Luck. These elements determine whether a shop or property has strong Earth Luck. Since Flying Star feng shui evaluates the luck generated by the property itself, it requires a separate and detailed feng shui assessment, going beyond a simple ba zi review. Please note that this service is distinct and separate from a ba zi review.

3. What theme colour should i use (for building, uniform, logo)

As for theme colour, I mean from your ba zi, I can advise you the common binding element that will help boost the luck for you and your husband, while I am assessing your whether the business is favourable to you or not. You can then use  that info to apply it to your building decor, uniform colour, or logo colours.

4. Should I get advice about the logo i create using feng shui?

Logo review is not typically part of a ba zi review service. While we do not offer services to design a logo for you, we do provide a separate logo review service. If you already have a few logo designs in mind, we can help evaluate them to determine which one is more suitable for you based on its elements. However, please keep in mind that this service is distinct and separate from the ba zi review.

That said, from your ba zi, we can provide guidance on the most suitable binding elements for you, such as favorable colors and shapes. This insight can assist you in designing a logo with these beneficial colors and shapes in mind.

Hope that helps.

Warmest Regards
Robert Lee

Which is more accurate for predicting accidents: Ba Zi Lunar Month clashes or Seasonal Month clashes?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20507-which-is-more-accurate-for-predicting-accidents-ba-zi-lunar-month-clashes-or-seasonal-month-clashes/

House of Life/Conceptionhttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/6245-house-of-lifeconception/Dear Joan,
The free report does not show the house of life and house of conception, but it does not mean that it is not being analysed. In fact all the analysis in the paid report is applied to the free report, just that we do not show it. So what this means is that whatever results you get from the free report ie Strong Water will be exactly what you will get in the paid report. Just that you will not see the detailed analysis in the paid reports.
House of Life and House of Conception gives your ba zi chart additional chances for combination and clashes which will greatly influence whether your chart is weak or strong.
Usually house of Life tells you information about how strong or weak your personal life chart will be. While House of Conception focus for child birth for the Female, and female relationship for the Male.
Hope that helps.
Warmest Regards
Robert Lee

For example, in this illustration, a person was born on 6th February between 11pm to 1am. Is this person born on 6th February or suppose to be 7th February?

How accurate is Pillar of destiny?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/952-how-accurate-is-pillar-of-destiny/Dear Chris,
Pillars of Destiny is a very large field and in general, considered the main `pipeline' of Chinese `readings'.
As Pillars is based on Yin and Yang (the highest) form after Tai ji and the Five Elements, it is hard to take away Pillars.
In the past, pillars or Ba Zhi can extend to more than 10 pillars as found in our reports: The current report analyse our Year, Month, Day and Hour, House of Conception etc...
In the past, Pillars used to have at least two more columns both to analyse Yin Feng Shui. But Yin Feng Shui is less practised today.
To clarify, if we are analysing an individual what is more important is to analyse his Day of birth in relation to other branches/stem. The more it is analysed with the other branches/stem ie. year/month/hour the more accurate it is.
From here you will understand that the Two hourly system is "fixed" and this is related to the Moon/Lunar System. It is nice to have the hourly timing and we cannot re-invent Feng Shui and change it to our liking e.g. reducing the hours further. If so, it does not match the hour such as the Rat hour etc...
One key important point about Pillars is its simplicity. For example, we only need to know a person's Year, Day and Month (option time) to get an accurate Heaven map of a person.
Therefore, it has been used without even the need to find the longitude and latitude of a location.
One reason is that if one makes the "input" too complicated, it would make it very diffcult to use due to ' garbage in garbage out.'
For example, I know of some who have added a GMT time to the calculation. Here:
1. The current GMT time has been adjusted for some countries in the last decade. Some countries have day light saving hours.
2. There is a flaw in calculation if one only considers the Longitude. If one follows this argument, should also use the latitude.
From the above, imagine, if one needs to supply the Longitude and Latitude of where one is born. What happens if one provides the wrong data? or does not really know both?
If one sees, traditional Feng Shui Masters, do Pillars, they are more concerned with the DAY, MONTH and YEAR field.
As Pillars of Destiny is a map of what the `Heaven' has bestowed on us, as mentioned, it is shaped by our influence on earth especially our upbringing and education etc...
We should understand that one of the many purpose of Pillars is to help us better understand our Heaven Luck.
Other very important uses (cross referenced to Feng Shui) is to find our element and its strength.
This is used in conjuction with the Flying Star, and Ba Zhi Feng Shui etc... to either enhance our Qi or to find proper cures to a situation or to see if the "cures" proposed under Flying Star does not `destroy' our element especially if one is `Weak' e.g. Weak Water.
I use the Luck Pillars to understand the element of influence of a season under a period. For example, if during this period, which is governed by a season with Strong Water, for a weak fire person, he has to be careful not to be `extinguished' by the season of the period.
There are many more cross-references between all the various theories of Feng Shui and Destiny and it is more important to be able to have a global picture, learn how to apply all the tools together. Like the saying " Knowlege is power".
I personally don't quite understand why even some Feng Shui Schools simply stick to one theory e.g. eat, sleep and drink Flying Star Feng Shui only.
A few of such schools are not convinced of the use of Eight House. Each set of principles and theories have a specific purpose and if we can properly unlock each theory and use it to the full potential plus be able to linked all up, the better.
The reason why I mentioned about Flying Star is because this year and last year alone, I have had to try to help many who were advised to apply only the Flying Star `cure' as it only looks at the horoscope of the house. What is the use of a perfect house if it is totally unsuitable to the individual living there.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Does Bazi Depends on Place of Birth??https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/8398-does-bazi-depends-on-place-of-birth/

Dear Marilyn,

marilyn o wrote:
Does Bazi Depends on Place of Birth?? I remembersome fengshui mastersask for my friends' place of birth before he do their ba-zhi. For example, im born July 29, 1980 at 2:16pm. My bazhi will be different if I was born in US from if I was born in HK.

1. Theorically, if you can factor in your exact place of birth (ie especially through theexact long. and lat. of birth), this would IDEALLY give you a more accurate analysis. But it has to be done via the exact long. and lat. of birth. Other methods that are currently used (ie the timezone differences etc) are not really good way to factor location due to the simplication of timezone and many reasons.

2. However, realistically there are many people who don't even know the exact time of birth let alone the exact place of birth.

a.Firstly, the problem is that not everyone record the exact long. and lat. of birth.

b. Secondly, even if there is the accuracy of this inforrmation will have to be 100% error free otherwise a degree of error in this long and lat. may result in a less accurate chart. As a degree off will mean a completely different chart altogether.

c. Since no one really record this inforrmation, so this means itis attempt to get this information hard to know for sure. Even if you roughly know the hospital that you are born, the exact room you are born will also result in different long. and lat.

So if one really want to consider the long. and lat. factor, I personally find that you will end up with ahigher degree of error rather than being more accurate. So I find thisfactor does not necessary mean that you will get a more accurate analysis,
in fact, it is more likely you may make the analysis less accurate if information are not 100% correct.

3. Furthermore, if you really know the mechanics behind the ba zi chart is derived, you will know that it was designed such that even if you leave the time of birth unknown, you can still get a fairly accurate analysis. Why?

a. Simply because the 10-yearly, yearly chart are based more on the Month and Year of birth pillar. So irregardless of what hour pillar forms the 4th pillar in the entire ba zi chart, the luck pillars chart will not differ much.

b. What the hour pillar really affects is the accuracy of determining whether you are a weak or strong person and the exact percentage of the five element percentage and maybe some characteristic analysis.

Even so, in our many analysis the day without an hour often defines 80%-90% of the overall weak or strong. This means only a few hour may result in a change from weak to strong or vice versa. That is why even without the hour pillar, a fair analysis can be done.

Thus, for those that attempted to factor in the timezone different, this factor really significantly affect much of the luck factor. Only the characteristics and breakdown of five element percentage will differ. The rest will have minimal impact except maybe the presences of like clashes/harms in different luck pillar which tells us whether you will have a difficult period or not. Essentially, not much will have much impact from the hour pillar.

That is why you find that often when it comes to really famous personalities being analysed on their ba zi, you find that most just use the date of birth (without the time of birth nor location factor), and yet it is able to get a good forecast on that person.

4.The ba zi is only a heavenly given luck, so it is supposed to forecast only what is supposed to happen. A lot of people have the misconception that ba zi is able to 100% predict past events. This is actually not true. A ba zi can forecast the type of luck, assuming that there are no other external factors that influence you.

However, in the real world, your home/your environment/your relationship with people around you/your education etc will have direct impact over your home. Especially your home (Earth Luck) and your relationship (Human Luck). It is these changes/factor that often result in difference in predicted luck and what you exactlly experience.

For example, when your luck period is bad, but your home feng shui is good and your environment is good, your luck will often be better than your predicted luck.

So it does not mean that having factor in the exact long. and lat. will mean that the ba zi will be more accurate. On the contrary, it is likely to make the chart less accurate if you do not get the long. and lat. correctly.

5. In fact the only way to get a very very accurate fortune told, is not just to focus on one single theory. The reason why feng shui when applied correctly is so powerful is not because it is so, but rather because of the numerous feng shui theories that work together to give a very well rounded analysis. Each theory has it's advantage and edge, so only when you really take advantage of it, will you really get a full and all rounded analysis.

That is why to get a really accurate fortune, you cannot just depend on Ba Zi analysis. A really accurate analysis is done using several concepts such as a combination of (ba zi analysis, horoscope/astrology/zi wei dou shu analysis, palmistry analysis, face reading analysis, i-ching/oracle, etc). It is the use of all these concept together, that one can really get a really accurate analysis. This is because each theory will reinforce the other, and as the saying goings the more concept you use, the more accurate the analysis because each theory will cancel the weakness of the other.

So to get a more accurate analysis, you should be using the different tools (taking the best analysis result of each tool so as to get the best possible reading). There is no way to get an accurate just by depending on one single concept.

6. So more important, I find that focusing on intepretating the analysis based on how the information balanced up is ultimately what makes ba zi so flexible and yet able to give a good prediction. It is how the chart balance up that gives us an understanding as to why this year is good or bad. This is why though there are different variations in concepts, when the consultant/master does a very good analysis of the chart, you will find that they will still be able to pinpoint what's wrong and how to correct them. So it is a good interpretation of the chart that tells a good forecast from a bad on.

So it is for the above reasons and many other reaons which I haven't touch on that is why we DO NOT require the place of birth information. As we really find it unnecessary and only adds more room for error rather than making it more accurate.

Dear Master Robert Lee,

I have tried using your free report to do a detailed analysis on my ba zi. I have always try to meet end needs. However, I was curios to note that for my luck pillarfor the age of 34 to 43,it showed that luck is with me. Isn't the"Bing" fire elements and theDragon earth elements are unfavourable for me? How come luck is with me for this period? SurprisedWhat isyour advice to capitalise my good luck for this annual luckat the age of 34 to 43 if luck is really with me? Kindly advice.Smile Thank you.

Bazi element is partly incorrect....https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/16215-bazi-element-is-partly-incorrect/ Hello All,

Could somebody check my free Bazi Life Report?  The picture display is correct that I am a weak metal Ox, but the explanation given says green Ox.  The colored box shown is gold to indicate metal, but the explanation says green for wood.  I do not think I should try to generate any more reports until this site figures out what I am (element wise).  To check my report, I provided the birth information that I was born on May 31, 1961 between 17:00 - 18:59 (@5:03 pm) Eastern Standard Time in Toronto, Ontario - Canada.  Thank-you for any assistance or explanation for this confusion. Comments: Hi [Name masked out for privacy]

The distinction between Ba Zi Lunar and Xia Calendar highlights the variability in the quality of Ba Zi charts, with Geomancy.net emphasizing a commitment to thoroughness and integrity in their practice. This approach underscores the importance of reliable methods in the interpretation of Ba Zi charts.

Please Click this link to find out:-
or URL: http://bazifaq.geomancy.net

The issue that may arise is when the Chinese Horoscope indicates that you are a Rat or a Pig, depending on whether the year has passed or not. It may seem confusing how one person can be both horoscope signs at the same time, but this is due to different analyses.

Unfortunately, without learning and comparing both analyses, it may be difficult to notice the differences, especially since this only affects a small number of people during what we call the grey or blind period.

Many individuals are only familiar with the Season Calendar version, commonly used by Hong Kong Masters, and may not be aware of the reasons behind these discrepancies.

They may focus on one concept, such as Ba Zi, Chinese Horoscope, Chinese Astrology, Compass School (Flying Star, Eight House), Shapes and Forms, without exploring a variety of concepts.

Each concept serves a purpose and helps to balance, reinforce, and cross-check each other.

There should not be any conflicting issues, such as having two different horoscope signs, especially for those born near the beginning of the new year.

Our extensive research and comparison of both analyses have shown that Ba Zi, based on the Lunar Calendar, is more accurate and reliable compared to analyses based on the Seasonal Calendar.

Although it may be more complex to calculate due to the additional consideration of the Season Calendar, it works well with other concepts and avoids conflicting results, as most concepts use the Lunar Calendar as the common calendar.

Therefore, we have chosen to adopt Ba Zi based on the Lunar Calendar for our website, as it provides better accuracy and compatibility with other concepts.

Hope that helps.

Warmest Regards
Robert Lee

Thanks for the detail illustration which help to put forward the big picture embracing all theories.https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/2685-thanks-for-the-detail-illustration-which-help-to-put-forward-the-big-picture-embracing-all-theories/
Dear Terence,
I believe, we can draw a `parallel' with the "driving experience".
Here, for example:
A. Shapes and Form Feng Shui
1. Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui is like the roads and highways.
Where, there are good roads and bad roads (i.e. Good Feng Shui and bad Feng Shui).
Good `roads' are those that have been resurfaced frequently, and well lighted, no sudden bends.
Bad `roads' are like winding roads or roads that have frequent accidents.
B. Pillars of Destiny
2. Pillars of Destiny can be considered like advance warning signs or a good road map.
For example, if the road is winding and there are frequent accidents occuring on this road, (Pillars of Destiny) is like making sure that there are adequate warning signs.
3. In the above example, we have noticed that there is the infrastructure i.e. roads and signages or proper directional signs (Pillars of Destiny).
4. The above are just infrastructures. Because of built up land, some roads may be good to drive on while others because of buildings has to be winding etc... Thus this forms good and bad `shapes and forms'.
C. Pillars of Destiny Wealth deities
5. Pillars of Destiny wealth deities is like the vehicle we drive. For example, a person who has excellent wealth deities is like a person driving a luxurious car. While a person not so blessed drives a scooter or even does not own a car.
6. As Kam, has mentioned `MAN luck' in this situation is like the driver of the car or scooter. His driving skills depends on road conditions (i.e. Flying Star Feng Shui) and his `condition'.
Flying Star Feng Shui
7. As Flying Star takes into consideration time dimensions, you will notice that we are always not certain if the weather is cloudy or there is heavy rain.
If there is heavy rain, we have to becareful and thus take precautions. Here `precautions' are like neutralising bad sectors e.g. bad earth element or sickness star.
8. Flying star thus take into consideration (the conditions at the time) and if there is an imbalance, try to neutralise it).
For example in the above `driving' experience, if there is an oil spill on the bend, precautions must be taken to negotiate the bend. Alternatively, it should be cleaned.
9. I mentioned above that following, Kam's example, there are people who are endowed with luck such as being able to drive a luxury car. While others may only be able to afford a scooter or motorcycle.
Those that drive luxury cars, may have ABS brakes, front and side air-bags and other safety features. In a collision or serious accident, their survial rate is higher.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

various coners. We rush out to

1 question: I do not see a
close link bet 4 pillars and
the flying star. Flying star

into consideration that

why strong water ?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20490-why-strong-water/ Hi, I checked my friend's Bazi... why is she a strong Water?
Even though the Total Favorable Elements are only at 52% while the Total Unfavorable Elements are at 74%, yet end up being strong Water?
Could you shed some light on this? Thanks 🥰

where to put stove and charcoal after moving in?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/6580-where-to-put-stove-and-charcoal-after-moving-in/For apartments in a condo or in car-parks; for those who are considering doing the "move-in" procedure with actual light-up of a traditional stove; do check that no smoke detectors are near-by if one lights up a stove that uses non-smokeless charcoal.

In light of the conflicting information regarding the personal bazi favoring the west sector and the negative implications of the flying star for 2024, it is advisable to exercise caution and consider avoiding the west sector despite personal preferences.https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/20343-in-light-of-the-conflicting-information-regarding-the-personal-bazi-favoring-the-west-sector-and-the-negative-implications-of-the-flying-star-for-2024-it-is-advisable-to-exercise-caution-and-consider-avoiding-the-west-sector-despite-personal-preferences/ In light of the conflicting information regarding the personal bazi favoring the west sector and the negative implications of the flying star for 2024, it is advisable to exercise caution and consider avoiding the west sector despite personal preferences. Balancing personal insights with broader astrological guidance may lead to more favorable outcomes.

According to my personal Bazi, my favorable directions are NW, NE, SW, and W.

According to the Flying Star chart for 2024, the WEST sector is considered bad.

Should I still avoid the WEST sector, or can I use it based on my personal Bazi?

1. Based on the information you provided, it seems you are asking about your Ba Zi's favourable directions or the 4 good and 4 bad directions from our free ba zi report. These directions indicate which general directions are suitable for you. This does not change even if the house you are in faces a direction with suboptimal flying star earth luck.

URL: https://www.geomancy.net/content/personalised-reports/generate-free-feng-shui-reports/find-your-chinese-horoscope-sign-personal-ba-zi-element

2. The yearly forecast for 2024 indicates that the West sector is unfavorable this year due to the annual flying star, which changes every year. This means a bad illness star is affecting that sector this year, requiring some balancing to neutralize its effects for this year only. You can find this info from our 2024 yearly forecast:-

3. The annual flying star does not determine if the flying star luck for a west-facing house is good or bad. You need to create a flying star chart based on your house's period to see if the West frontage has good stars. The flying star chart is an Earth Luck assessment to determine the house's luck for your house layout plan.

4. While Ba Zi provides a Heaven Luck chart of your potential luck, the flying star chart offers an Earth Luck chart of the house's potential luck if you live there. These are different assessments: one determines which directions bring you the best luck, while the other assesses the house's overall luck. In most cases, you will need to balance the house's luck, as flying star luck changes regularly.

Hello all, This is an
excellent forum.
What an oasis. I have a
couple of queries
on this subject matter.
My name (Tufani) means
"tempest", or
"storm". I was born on a day
of yin water,
but my element according to my
kua
number is yin earth.
1. Is the energy of the name
determined
based on its linguistic
meaning?

For names, currently, what we know presently is that:
a. Chinese names or each character can be identified as either Yin or Yang by the strokes of the name.
b. Yes, for Chinese names, it is based on `dictionary' meaning.
c. A variant of Para a. is the phonetic sound of a name.
For example, Chinese rely heavily on `sound like'. Such as a pear sounds like `li' or separation. Thus considered not auspicious.
d. Sorry, for mentioning only about Chinese names above as it is the known way of finding a good name either by:
- looking at each word. For example, a name may be TAN AH TECK which may have i.e. TAN (YIN), AH (YAN) and TECK (YIN).
Thus this implies 2 Yins and 1 Yang in the name. Here, one can relate to one's Pillars of Destiny to see if this is `beneifical' or not or whether the name has too many Yins or Yangs.
e. For other names, not Chinese Names, this may be a "controvesy" as it is relatively new area.
f. I believe, some people have `capitalized' on this for `English' names by counting the number of characters and thus assuming that it is Yin or Yang.
This is new and need more `reseach'.

Quote
2. The personal element that
the name is
compared with. Is that
"personal
element" based on the day that
one is
born, or based on one's kua
number?

Finding a good name is another aspect of GEOMANCY and is a `related' field.
Thus based on "Geomancy of one's name", the methods used are:
Method 1:
1. Counting each stroke of a name and total it up. For example, the total comes to 43.
This is then looked at to see what significance `43' is.
Method 2:
2. Each character of a name has either Yin or Yang. Then count how many Yin's or how many Yang's there are.
Method 3:
3. In conjuction with Pillars of Destiny.
Here, if one lacks the water element, usually a Chinese name will have `water' added to it. For example: TAN AH SHUI
Here, the name has been added with `Shui' which means WATER.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Missing elements bazi: Some say that in case of missing (no affinity to certain) elements, one should consider strengthening one of the element in my bazi (yong shen = earth) instead of the favorable element. Is this true?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/13287-missing-elements-bazi-some-say-that-in-case-of-missing-no-affinity-to-certain-elements-one-should-consider-strengthening-one-of-the-element-in-my-bazi-yong-shen-earth-instead-of-the-favorable-element-is-this-true/
A proper ba zi report will have a breakdown of that individual's Percentage of Five Elements throughout his life.
For a Chinese, with a new born. Often a parent or grandparent may go to a geomancer.
A geomancer would work out that new born's Mandarin (Chinese) name based on this overall chart. Please see attachment.
Every ten year's often the Five element's percentage may change. For example, when the child is 13 to 22 years old, his percentages may change.
One of the key uses is to look at any health concerns.
For example: Fire represents: heart and brain. Thus, when this child is 13 to 22 years old, there is a high of fire element at 43 percent. (When born only 27 percent).
Thus for this person, at this age may have to be careful of health concerns relating especially to the heart and brain area.
Therefore, if you say you have no metal and water; I assume that you refer to the attached chart to deduce that you may perhaps have 0 percent metal and water.
But as mentioned, every 10 years, this may change.
Again in the above example, at age 13 to 22, this person lacks or have minimal Metal element 2 percent and Wood only 7 percent. While perhaps it is true that his overall chart (when born or overall chart) has 0 percent of earth.
But at age 13 to 22, he has sufficient earth. Thus based on your question, it is not true that one should automatically strengthen with earth for every situation.

What does this Self Punishment represents?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/9789-what-does-this-self-punishment-represents/

Just my 2 nickels of thoughts..........

As Mr. Lee has said, the whole chart is needed to find out if the situation could be bad.If water is strong, then it may well be that the "punishment" is not that significant.

Bazi's "structural" limitations are such that highly specific events unique to the individual cannot be predicted, only the general"bad"or"good".For instance,if financial loss is hinted at at a certain point in time,it isimpossible to zero in on if it is due to some credit crisis in the country or an unexpectedbreak-in.Too many unkownfactors are at play.Certainly, 2 persons having identical bazi charts will nothave exactlythe same minoreventsof day-to-day livinghappening to them.Compared to "Tie Ban Shen Shu",now lost, bazi cannot revealhighly specific details, such as "what is the colour of the car that has knocked a person down?"

My belief(a very personal one,of course)is that"Tie Ban", as shown by Shao Zi in some present-day remnants of his works, could be that unerringlyspot-on in all kinds of predictionsis that it contains more than 4 pillars, possibly more than 10.His ancient text, the original"Huang Ji Shi Yun", is no longer extant,as Providence had decreed that it should not be revealedto earthings, for if this "Tower of Babel"is allowed to be built, all the heavenly secrets will become known to Man.Hence, distortions and errors gradually crept into that text, and now you have a useless text that still manages to fool so many people, including Mr.Edward Lijuming of lijuming.com.Even Mr. Shao Weihua of China, touted to be a descendant of Shao Zi,does not know the original text,or he would have predicted the Sichuan earthquake, since, nothing, great global events or personal trifles of daily life, cannot be predicted by it.

What bazi can reveal are general trends in one's life, not specifics, because there are other unkownpillars above the year pillar, and other unkownpillars further down the time pillar.

Too many yin in the pillarshttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/3298-too-many-yin-in-the-pillars/
Dear Lay Eng,
1. Generally, Yin and Yang are at the pinnacle of many (or all) Chinese beliefs/Feng Shui and divinity methods.
2. If we consider a pyramid, it is at the tip of the pyramid.
3. Yin and Yang concepts are thus the most general and in terms of Ba Zi/8 Characters Destiny very difficult to implement.
4. The best way to utilise Pillars of Destiny / Ba Zi is to `go down' to the " lowest " common denominator i.e. The Five Elements Concept.
5. In the Pillars of Destiny, for example, such as the available report at www.geomancy-online.com it breaks down the number / counts of a person's element.
A balanced Pillars of Destiny would normally be e.g. 25 percent each of Earth, Fire, Water, Wood and Metal elements. This would be the ideal situation but not necessarily that everyone in the world would have this in full balance.
6. Another report is to look at one's 10 deities to see if each of the deities has one count of the element.
This is because, the 10 Deities is made up of 1 count each of yin Earth, Fire, Water, Wood and Metal element. It is also made up of 1 count each of yang Earth, Fire, Water, Wood and Metal element.
Together, this combination would provide a total 10 elements (with yin and yang components).
7. Overall, too yin could be related to one's heaven map as:-
7.1. The individual based on heaven's map is considered more of an `introvert' rather than an extrovert.
However, Pillars of Destiny has an "escape clause":- i.e. it is merely an individual's Heaven map based on the time the person was born.
The escape clause i.e. where the resultant child could instead be more of an extorvert, could be thru the experience or interaction with the immediate family members and education.
7.2 Besides characteristics, another intersting thing about the Yin and Yang concept is that:
Too Yin ... could result in a hypotheical change to YANG. Will Too Yang can result in a change to Yin.
7.3 Imagine looking at the Yin and Yang symbol. When too Yin occupies fully the white shade, when it exceeds it `boundary' the resultant is an overspill to YANG. Thus, too yin can result in Yang and vice versa.
7.4 This is more of an interest:-
In a recent Chinese vampire drama show (ficition show), there was this `fight' between good and evil. The bad vampire in-order to open `a devil's gate; required a pure strong YIN (with 7 stars on her feet) and they need another female.
But they could not find one. So, in this fiction show, they found two strong YANG persons which as a result changed the characteristics of themselves to YIN. Where too Yang becomes Yin. (As an example).
7.5 In food, Yin and Yang instead of Five Elements is more commonly used. And it is in this area that Chinese medicine and health related objectives are looked at and perhaps met.
Where, steaming, boiling food is considered Yin. And fried, barbequed food are considered Yang. Salty food is considered Yang while water is considered Yin ... etc..
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Basically, for luck, actually depends very much on what element you are. If say you are weak Wood, then having Water will bring you luck. Not necessary specific items. You can only improve your luck with elements which you are favourable to you.

Common cures normally will not work.

For problems and more, you need to know the Flying Star of the house, as the Eight House cannot tell you these influences. Eight House can only tell you if say you have a good or bad direction in a section. You cannot do much about them, all you can do is to avoid the bad directions.

Women luck overpowered by the husbands/vice versa?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/8501-women-luck-overpowered-by-the-husbandsvice-versa/

Dear Anon,

Anonymous wrote:
Can Women luck overpowered by the husbands and vice versa?

Yes, this is possible.

You see, a person's luck is also affected by the luck of the family member providing for the family. It is also affected by the people around you.

Say in a family, a husband & wife & 1 child. If the husband is the only person working to provide for the family, all the luck of the rest of the family falls on the husband. So even if the wife's luck is very excellent, but she is not the one providing for the family, then the luck is based a lot on the husband's luck. So if he does well, the family members will also in general benefit from him. The reverse is also true, when the wife is the main breadwinner, then the rest of the family will depend on that breadwinner.

So in a family, the breadwinner role is important and thus it is why it is so important that the breadwinner must have a house that suits him so that he can draw as much luck from the house to provide for the ntire family.

It is very possible to have luck overpowered by the other person.

Hope that helps.

Warmest Regards
Robert Lee
