<![CDATA[Feng Shui Tips & Guidelines Latest Topics]]>https://www.geomancy.net/forums/forum/6-feng-shui-tips-guidelines/enMyth: It is wrong to consider a person born between 11pm to 1am as born on the next dayhttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/15678-myth-it-is-wrong-to-consider-a-person-born-between-11pm-to-1am-as-born-on-the-next-day/

DO WE NEED TO BREAK THE ZI (RAT) HOUR INTO EARLY / LATE RAT

There is no need for this. I had recently replied to a user on this. Please see this link for more information about why:-

URL:

1. Some geomancers argue that if an individual is born during the RAT hour (11pm to 1am), the birth date must be adjusted.

1.1 Therefore, if someone is born on February 6th between 11pm and 1am, the geomancer asserts that the birth date is now February 7th.

2. Nonetheless, there exists the concept of the RAT hour spanning across TWO days:

2.1 Consequently, if a person is born on February 6th at 0000HRS, their birth date will always remain on that day.

2.2 Similarly, if the individual is born on February 6th at 2359HRS, it remains February 6th and not February 7th.

595258f5d73aa_BORNONSAMEDAYISALWAYSSAMEDAYa.thumb.gif.ad594efa39d247ba8a7ad604f9a4fe73.gif

3. This is an expanded view taking into consideration 5th February:-

595258f9bc21b_BORNONSAMEDAYISALWAYSSAMEDAY2.thumb.gif.499f1a4c235ae7ec6fa9f60dba5499d4.gif

3.1. If born within 24 hours of 5th February, the individual will still be considered a 5th February birthday person.

3.2. It is not possible to change the birthdate to 6th February or back-date it to 4th February.

3.3. This is due to the fact that if one argues that the birthdate can be changed to a later day, it can also be changed to an earlier day, such as the Rat hour of 4th February.

Can I install mirrors in the homehttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/15174-can-i-install-mirrors-in-the-home/

Often, if a mirror is installed directly below an air-conditioner, an air-con can leak water and damage the mirror(s).

The mirrors have coatings that are sprayed to the back to give it that "mirror" reflection. And these mirrors are mounted onto a piece of plywood before mounted on the wall. The plywood can also absorb moisture.

In Singapore, the humidity is often already 60 or more percent.

Alternatively, an air-con can blow cold air onto the surface of the mirror. As a result, the mirror may flake.

Please note that the mirrors shown, here are the extremes. Photos taken from coffee-shop toilets. But, hope you can an idea that the mirror that one might install in a home might have some of these damage.

<![CDATA[Shapes & Forms: Poison Arrows - Sha Qi]]>https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/12701-shapes-forms-poison-arrows-sha-qi/ It is advisable to position oneself at the entrance of a residence, like an open window or balcony, according to the principles of Feng Shui related to Shapes and Forms. This will help in identifying potential risks, such as a neighboring building's sharp corner.

Feng Shui Guidelines for the Kitchen: An article by Master Cecil Lee, including his seven principles for stove positioninghttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/6632-feng-shui-guidelines-for-the-kitchen-an-article-by-master-cecil-lee-including-his-seven-principles-for-stove-positioning/ [Published on July 2004]

Seven (7) Commandments of Stove Placement

1. Shield from vibrant wind. Avoid having a big window behind the stove.
2. Do not place next to sink. If you have to, try to leave a gap or distance between the two.
3. The stove should not face the main door; a toilet door; a bedroom door and the kitchen door.
4. The stove should not be under a beam or below sewerag or drainage pipes.
5. Do not place it in a corner.
6. It should not share the same wall as a bed-head.
7. It should not share the same wall as the toilet bowl or toilet sink.

A Cook's Harmony

The kitchen is a central part of the home.
Where many of our basic needs are met.
With good Feng Shui, you can enhance your kitchen's healthy flow of abundance.

Wake up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee or the tantalizing whiff of bacon and eggs and chances are, you will be looking forward to the day bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Kitchens are the nucleus of every household. It represents both wealth and health. This may explain why Chinese families boil plenty of water at the start of the day - to ensure a never-ending abundance of the Earth's life force.

"In Feng Shui, each compass direction is associated with an element, "says Cecil Lee, Principal Consultant and founder of GEOMANCY.NET: Center for Applied Feng Shui Research. "In any kitchen, there will always be the interplay of water and fire elements. Ensuring a good balance between yin (water) and yang (fire) will result in favourable fortune. Upsetting the balance could result in poor health, loss of weath or both."

A key factor to harmony in the kitchen is the location of the stove in relation to the door, sink and window. The metal element, which is common in this area of the home and represented by cooking utensils for example, is often used as a bridge between the water and fire counterparts. So what happens if there are imbalances?

According to Lee, it depends on the severity of the situation, "The solutions can range from the re-orientation of the fridge, moving the stove, using a mirror to renovatng the kitchen."

Comfortable surroundings breed content so it is vital that the person who spends the most time cooking in the kitchen has a conducive environment. Any disturbances could affect the cook's energy and the overall ambience of the home.

Having enough working space is a good start to encourage a steady flow of chi. Practise basic Feng Shui hygience such as keeping the area neat, orderly and clutter free. This can be achieved by having plenty of storage space to put things away. Take note that a refrigerator stocked with fresh foods symbolizes prosperity in the household.

"Make sure you have a well-lit, properly ventilated kitchend and preferably one where the person who is cooking can see the door way," suggests Lee. Airflow ensure that heat and vapours do not permeate the rest of the house. The cook needs to be aware of the presence of visitors or other family members to avoid unwanted surprises. Dangerous situations can present itself in the activity zone of the kitchen when an suspecting cook could accidentally spill extremely hot contents and hurt someone.

More advice

On the location of the kitchen and stove
1. Avoid placement in the North which is associated with the water element: water drowns fire
2. Avoid placement in the Northwest or Heaven's gate as it also represents the head of the household, that is, the father.

On the location of the fridge and sink
1. Avoid placing them next to the stove as this can cause a conflict of water versus fire.

Two most well known Compass makershttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/5035-two-most-well-known-compass-makers/
Dear all,
If you intend to make Feng Shui a serious hobby, you should get good quality compass(es). Alternatively, you can get their economical hiking compass if you are not intending to use it so often.
The two world's best (and affordable) compass makers are:-
1. Suunto http://www.suunto.com
The type I find very useful can be found here:-
http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-recommendcompass.htm
2. Silva http://www.silva.se and their Survey Master series
Both companies are truly well known.
The Suunto Pilot
================
a. For Suunto, they have another additional model: the Suunto Pilot. (For vehicles)
b. Since it is meant for vehicles with lots of steel around it, it is a pleasure to own it since, you can fully calibrate it to very high accuracy - taking into account magnetic influence in the surrounding. This is what makes it very special (to me).

c. Although, this one has fewer reading scales, nevertheless; it is handy especially as an additional check of the readings.
d. This is because, this compass can be finely calibrated to account for any zone or region in the world.
e. As Singapore is on the equator, I bought their " ZONE THREE " model which is suppose to be the optimum for countries close to the equator.
f. Please see attached. I had scanned two imagines: one from the box of the Suunto Pilot. This image will show the various zones. You should try to get one that suits your zone.
g. Next, I included a sample of the instructions for further fine tuning the calibration. This model, has a North-South calibration dial. And also a East-West calibration dial.
h. It is an advantage to have this extra model since it will help greatly to confirm readings crucial to Flying Star Feng Shui.
i. However, where possible, you should always take a reading external of a home / office / building to reconfirm what was taken inside the home.

j. Please note that even with these compasses, if one does not know the proper technique of compass readings, one can equally get incorrect readings.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Myths about the Chinese 7th Lunar Month or Hungry Ghosts Month explainedhttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/16608-myths-about-the-chinese-7th-lunar-month-or-hungry-ghosts-month-explained/ Myths about the Chinese 7th month

Q1. Avoid staying out late.

Reply: In a densely populated urban area such as Singapore, there is no need to be concerned about staying out late, even for a late-night party."

1193824547_eachofushaveanaturalprotectiveaura.thumb.png.e10d3a3bccbb978b17dc70f09cf848b7.png

Unfortunately, there is a small minority of individuals who lack the necessary aura or yang qi to protect themselves at all times. The majority of us, fortunately, belong to the 98 percentile and do not fall into that 2 percent category.

Meet the unfortunate 2 percent:

1783430109_eachofushaveanaturalprotectiveaura1.thumb.png.02d28ac6292727b08207aebdd0e7114f.png

Q2. Is it advisable to refrain from swimming in the 7th month?

Reply: It is widely recognized that typical hungry Ghosts reside in a separate realm and are expected to refrain from interacting with or frightening ordinary individuals.

Q3. What about those leaving offerings to the ghosts during the 7th month? Are they doing good?

97D49C02-DCD3-42BF-924B-21C560254EB6.thumb.jpeg.194671266959e0ba512a25e503905f17.jpeg

Reply: The spirits may not necessarily descend to the ground to partake in the offerings left for them. Instead, they may view these items in a similar light to how Singaporeans proudly display National Day flags during celebrations. In essence, the offerings are akin to the vibrant decorations seen in Chinatown leading up to Chinese New Year festivities.

1774067886_ghosts-morescared.gif.2e9d161d03ba12b511f79dac09f6d427.gif

Q4. Are there a higher number of wakes and funerals held during the Chinese 7th month compared to other months of the year?

Statistically, mortality rates remain consistent across all twelve months of the year, barring specific incidents of mass tragedies. The notion that death is more prevalent during a particular time of year is unfounded. Embrace the Chinese 7th month as you would any other month, focusing on living with kindness, affection, and appreciation for the present moment.

Q5. Do the spirits during the seventh month of the lunar calendar truly experience hunger?

The spirits exist in a separate realm or dimension, unable to access our physical world to partake in offerings unless they possess a medium's body. This leads to the misunderstanding that the Chinese Lunar Ghost Month was originally known as the Chinese Hungry Ghost month.

Q6. Is it beneficial to burn offerings to applease the Ghosts? Can I do away with yearly burning of paper items?

5A6BC8AB-6CA5-4F64-B744-29949D94B083.thumb.jpeg.2c57faec35843d4a690cf7bc9a125c5e.jpegE96A0724-93FD-4B0E-AE8F-0A4ABC9E4757.thumb.jpeg.6266991e43b6dcccc2831a682f65198f.jpeg

For instance, even if one were to burn hell notes, ingots, paper cars, iPhones, or houses, they will not magically transform into money in the afterlife.

However, if this ritual brings happiness or relief to the person performing it, then it has fulfilled its purpose.

Many Buddhists and Taoists suggest that performing acts of kindness and doing good deeds is a more meaningful alternative to burning such offerings.

Priests, nuns, and monks often view the burning of these offerings as a symbolic gesture representing the concept of "ashes to ashes."

They believe that this act serves as a reminder that material wealth cannot be taken to the afterlife. Burning paper ingots will not result in real ingots being delivered to the deceased. It is simply not feasible for charred paper to transform into gold bars.

Installation of Floor Boards: Should they run across the hallway or align with the bedroom entrance?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/12899-installation-of-floor-boards-should-they-run-across-the-hallway-or-align-with-the-bedroom-entrance/ Upon analyzing the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui principles, it is evident that Fig 2 does not align harmoniously with the door frame of the bedroom.

Additionally, it gives rise to a visual phenomenon known as a "zebra crossing" effect, where the floor panels appear to clash with the entrance to the bedroom space.

Kindly refer to the attached document for further details.

These are some of the considerations:-1.
In my opinion; the major key success
factor is : Location, location and
location.2. The most sensible thing one
should do; like the majority of people
is: to bring your partner and or the
entire family to the proposed new
home.3. In fact, Para 2; is always what
most of us do until some "discovered"
Fung Sway!4. Just imagine; majority of
us depend on our instincts to purchase a
home. And in fact; majority have been
successful.5. When one starts or try to
make sane of so many Feng Shui and even
Bazi concepts; here; the yearn for the
perfect home is injected into our
head.6. In a house hunting report; there
is the overview of the 15 directions and
which directions are very good; good;
so-so; inauspicious based on the Flying
Star + another variable = when the home
is/was built.7. Unless one is applying
Ba zi Feng Shui; then one has to
evaluate Para 6 with your best
directions. And some apply Ba zi Feng
Shui. If so, with more variables; as you
had found out... for a novice; or not an
expert in the Can or cannot buy field;
it is trying to walk into a mine-field
and home that one does not step onto a
mine.8. In general:-8.1. Shapes and
Forms Feng Shui: Location, location and
location is of paramount importance.8.2.
Next greater weigthage is to the Flying
Star Feng Shui8.3. As for the eight
house; if Para 8.2. is an excellent
house; then for the breadwinner; the
facing direction can be "irritation" or
"spook" vs "death" or "disaster"; And
other considerations include; looking
into the sector(s) how best does family
member's fit.8.4. The dreaded afternoon
sun is still a major consideration8.5.
Another consideration is Bazi Feng Shui.
Some geomancers consider that since Bazi
has more inputs: and in a very detailed
bazi : DD/MM/YYYY and Time is included;
thus; some geomancers say this has a
higher weighage than just the Eight
House. As this Eight House thing has
fewer variable inputs e.g. Year of birth
as the consideration.9. Thus, under 8.5.
the concept of G.I.G.O. may be a
consideration. Since Bazi uses so many
detailed information (even without the
time of birth) it is still considered
fairly accurate vs say the Eight
House.10. The only senario is that
unfortunately, bazi results often
differs. Thus, there are many geomancers
that can get your bazi wrong, also. So,
if your bazi is analysed wrongly; then..
so is the results.11. Thus this goes
back to Para 2. above. This is the most
practical method!On 3/9/2011 9:25:22 PM,

Feng Shui of The Canopy @ Yishun (Past worked eg.)https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/14884-feng-shui-of-the-canopy-yishun-past-worked-eg/

Worked example of a previous TOP apartment at The Canopy in Yishun

Key Summary of this unit:

1. This unit faces West, sitting East with the double auspicious wealth stars #8's at it's frontage.

...

2. A water position can be placed in the balcony to boost the wealth luck of this unit.

3. Main Entrance with a passage way at NE sector:

3.1. If a cabinet e.g. shoe cabinet is to be constructed to the left-side of the main door; then it is "Nice-to" use the Feng Shui ruler to measure an auspicious width for the remaining space. (See Option 1 illustration)

4. Master Bedroom: South

4.1 Under Option 1: You will see that MR sleeps closer to the balcony window which is closest to SE sector. Which is MR's better sector i.e. his "longevity" sector. While MRs sleeps further away from this sector i.e. her "death" sector.

4.2 The above is one of the uses of the Eight House concept in defining who sleeps, where.

4.3. Under Option 1: even if the bed-head shares the same wall as the WC; this is acceptable, since, the person's head will not be too close to this WC wall.

5. Study Room: West

5.1. MR best faces East or South study or work directions. While MRS best directions are NE or SW (with NW-West as acceptable).

5.2. Options 1 and 2: shows varioius study/work directions for each of them.

5.3. As Study Room windows are at West; try to avoid sitting and studying/working facing the West (afternoon sun). Thus both Options take into consideration this; by not having the proposed study/work directions directly face West.

6. Flying Star and the number #3 = Quarrels, conflicts & legal entanglements

6.1. Sectors with Mountain star and/or Water star #3: To avoid GREEN colour where possible.

7. Unfortunately, since this is a West facing home; try to avoid this facing direction even if it has good Flying Stars at the frontage. As such homes if unblocked can be hot, hot & hot (heat, heat & heat!)

large tree in northeast sectorhttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/13749-large-tree-in-northeast-sector/

As mentioned, previously, in Singapore and in the 1970's one of the most popular trees planted in a landed property garden is the mango tree.
In the past, individual landed properties range from: 7,000sq. ft to 12,000 sq. ft for bungalows, half that for semi-detached homes and 1/3 to 1/4 of the above for a terrace homes.
It is very common for many home owners to plant a mango or even several mango trees on the grounds of their landed property.
In this example, as the mango tree was planted outside of the property; and because the large part of the floor area was covered by concrete; this would account for this tree to be smaller than what it can grow further.
But do take a look at this 40+ years old mango tree. One can see that such a tree has lots of leaves that will result in making the ground below the tree "dark" or yin. As it casts a dark shadow; below it.
Do a SEARCH on the top left frame of this forum for "Mango Tree" and there are lots of other resources:

Remember: You stay there, We Don't!https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/13828-remember-you-stay-there-we-dont/ Case Study: A degree in Common sense is free!"

Common sense says that we must be wary of questionable advice!

Since in the first place many of such illogical advice may not be free!

You most likely paid or will have to pay for it.

Once in a while, I get to hear new clients asking me: "My previous geomancer says" to lock up the master toilet. And they had not used it for the last 5 years!
The key essence is "YOU stay there!; we (geomancer's) Don't!" applies. We only visit a home for several hours and YOU have to live with our consequences... or DO YOU?

How did the esteemed Great Feng Shui Masters of history acquire and apply their knowledge of Feng Shui?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/18009-how-did-the-esteemed-great-feng-shui-masters-of-history-acquire-and-apply-their-knowledge-of-feng-shui/

Greatest-fs-masters.png1 Readfrombooks.png

1. All esteemed Feng Shui Masters from history were, in essence, ordinary individuals, much like ourselves.

2. Historically, numerous Feng Shui Masters acquired their knowledge from a variety of texts.

3. A common trait among the most distinguished Feng Shui Masters is their open-minded approach to practice, demonstrating a willingness to learn. Their primary success factor lies in implementing strategies that consistently yield positive results while discarding those that do not.

4. Classical texts on Feng Shui have never incorporated items such as crystals or many contemporary commercial products.

4.1 In fact, during the time of our grandparents, crystals had not yet been developed. Feng Shui focuses on our earthly fortune and the best ways to align ourselves with our surroundings.

4.2 Consequently, many of these products lack any genuine magical attributes.

4.3 The sales of such items primarily serve to benefit the sellers, as these products are often sold at significantly inflated prices, resulting in substantial profits.

5. In the present day, with the abundance of resources and the ease of access provided by the internet, Feng Shui has become widely accessible.

6. Therefore, one should exercise caution regarding individuals who continue to label Feng Shui as "secret" or "magical." In truth, they may be attempting to deceive us.

7. Feng Shui assessments do not necessitate extensive renovations or the demolition of walls. Furthermore, authentic Feng Shui does not require the acquisition of any modern commercial products.

" The main takeaway from the discussion on the 12 Habits of Feng Shui is the importance of incorporating specific practices, such as Habit No. 3, to enhance the flow of positive energy in one's environment, ultimately promoting well-being and harmony. Embracing these habits can lead to a more balanced and fulfilling life. " - Cecil Lee, Geomancy.net

1. I have developed these effective tools to further progress the traditional practice of Feng Shui.

2. These 12 habits are drawn from personal experience and observations, as well as the integration of concepts from various fields, and are consistently applied on a daily basis. You can do the same.

3. Take, for instance, the term "Triage," which originates from the medical field and is used to determine the order of treatment for patients or casualties, particularly in an A & E setting.

4. The concept of "It Depends!" is derived from the field of Management, where no two situations are identical.

5. The Customer Service Engineer (CSE) concept is based on my personal observation of how an IBM CSE resolved a problematic ATM's intermittent communication issue with the host server.

6. Additionally, I have fine-tuned numerous other concepts.

7. Therefore, if one has the time, they can delve into each of these concepts to gain a better understanding, troubleshoot, and enhance the world of Feng Shui.

[1.] ONE: Feng Shui Triage

650px-ONLY-GOD-KNOWS.png.82a689146399036a53b0abb670e0a4a8.png
God: “Hey! I manage your souls, not your physical body! Go see a doctor instead, please!”

The Feng Shui Triage

1991357489_FENGSHUITRIAGE.png.049678323d1890c3c678dfd8724e0cfe.png1. Physicians may need to assess an unwell patient and perform various examinations. Only after analyzing the test results can the doctor comprehend your health issues.

2. When it comes to Feng Shui, the process remains consistent. A Feng Shui expert must collect sufficient information and analyze the "birth-chart" of a residence in order to gain a deeper understanding of the environment before recommending remedies or improvements.

3. Therefore, numerous skilled Feng Shui experts conducting official assessments would:-

4. 1st Meeting at the residence or workplace of the clients: Utilize their Luo Pan (compass) to examine the external and internal surroundings.

4.1. Additionally, they would obtain a copy of the floor plan and all pertinent personal information of the household.

4.2. Subsequently, the Feng Shui specialist will analyze the data, and suggest potential improvements.

4.3. Typically, the expert would create a comprehensive report containing recommendations.

4.4. The second appointment is typically scheduled for a week later, following the practitioner's review of their findings, analysis, and recommendations.

4.5. During this subsequent visit, the practitioner will review their findings and recommendations once again.

4.6. Despite common misconceptions, conducting a thorough and professional Feng Shui audit requires significant effort and is not a haphazard decision.

4.7. Practitioners often utilize tools such as Flying Star Feng Shui in their practice.

4.8. It is more accurate to compare barging into a doctor's office and demanding an explanation before the examination to be true.

The Barber and the Dentist

400px-Trial-n-error-Feng-Shui.png.cb9ccc0a794b667de38bdd15cf3e7f56.png

1. In the past, many individuals suffering from toothaches sought assistance from their barbers to have their teeth extracted. This historical practice is symbolized by the additional "RED" stripe on the barber pole, which represents "blood".

2. In contemporary times, individuals experiencing tooth problems such as tooth decay or toothaches typically seek treatment from a dentist.

3. The historical practice of approaching a barber for tooth-related issues can be likened to implementing "Trial and Error" Feng Shui.

4. Nowadays, when individuals experience tooth problems, dentists often use X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat the issue, similar to how a Feng Shui practitioner maps out a home's individual sector charts.

5. Can you draw a comparison between the historical role of the barber as a dentist and the modern-day dentist based on this illustration?

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI Scan) Vs An X-Ray

MRI-1.thumb.png.5085b9379e5da49557cda8dbe7243d13.png

1. MRI utilizes powerful magnets and radio waves, unlike x-rays and CT scans that rely on radiation.

2. X-rays provide flat 2-D images and may not clearly show body tissues, unlike MRI.

3. Modern MRI machines are capable of producing colorful, three-dimensional maps of human tissue.

4. With MRI, doctors can easily examine specific parts of the body, such as cancerous growths.

5. The choice between X-ray and MRI is like choosing between trial and error (X-ray) and a comprehensive view (MRI).

6. It is often said that quality comes with a price, and opting for cheaper alternatives may not always be beneficial..

MRI-2.thumb.png.663a0e869796febd6fcf10b21ce49871.png

In-car Entertainment system (I.C.E) Car Installers

1. We offer sales, services, and installation of complete car stereo systems, security systems, and accessories.

2. Previously, upgrading or replacing in-car radio systems was a simple task.

3. Nowadays, even seasoned car installers may hesitate to work on a BMW.

3.1 This is due to concerns about accidentally triggering the airbags by connecting the wrong wires.

4. Furthermore, regular installers may lack the necessary hardware and software to enable certain features.

4.1 For instance, when installing a Bluetooth system or an additional factory-approved car alarm in a BMW, one must visit an authorized workshop with the appropriate software to activate the feature.

5. The landscape has evolved.

5.1 In the past, decisions were often made through trial and error without specialized tools like the "Flying star," resulting in a 50-50 chance of success.

5.2 Nowadays, there is a wealth of information available on various tools, including Feng Shui, making it easier to access the necessary knowledge.

The Automobile Association (The British RAC, The American AAA)

1. In the past, during a time when vehicles were less advanced, the Automobile Association (AA) technicians were often able to assist in fixing common issues like battery problems, alternator malfunctions, and fuel pump failures.

2. Nowadays, when contacting the AA for breakdown support, aside from battery issues, their technicians may inform you that they will arrange for your vehicle to be towed to a workshop of your choice. Germany is one of the few countries known to offer excellent on-site breakdown services for their autobahn.

3. Simply lifting the hood of a car does not guarantee that the vehicle can be repaired anymore. Modern fuel systems are complex, with sophisticated injection systems and components like flywheel sensors.

4. Times have certainly changed! If someone were to inquire about the suitability of a water feature for their wedding 20 years ago, a Geomancer might have given a yes or no answer based on a 50-50 chance, perhaps even crossing their fingers for luck.

5. Presently, those unfamiliar with advanced tools like updated software diagnostic systems should consider utilizing them for more detailed information. Referring to ancient practices like Flying Star without understanding can be likened to speaking Greek or Latin, a language barrier of sorts.

6. Car Installers for In-car Entertainment Systems (I.C.E)

6.1. Providing sales, services, and installations of complete car stereo systems, security features, and accessories.

6.2. In the past, making changes to in-car radio systems was relatively simple and straightforward.

Too Little Information to Work On

1. An individual who has Gua (Kua) 4 is categorized as part of the East Group.

2. "Which solutions are you seeking?"

2.1. It is similar to entering an A & E without waiting in line; going straight to the doctor's office and asking: "What's the matter with me?"

2.2. The doctor might just say: "Leave! And go through the Triage first! The purpose of the Triage is to conduct troubleshooting. Without troubleshooting, how can we possibly identify the issues or problems?"

A Triage is recommended, here:

More:

One brother is named TRIAGE.
Another brother is named CURE.
TRIAGE IS THE SIAMESE TWIN OF CURE.

Before getting that great layout of yours signed-off!

Always superimpose e.g. the ground floor layout onto the second storey and look out for the location of the stove(s) and toilets and vice-versa.

Often, this is to check on whether the 2nd storey toilet is directly above the main door and/or dining table and/or altar and/or bed location on the ground floor etc...

Common sense: bed directly above kitchen stovehttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/13863-common-sense-bed-directly-above-kitchen-stove/Whenever one looks at proposed layout plans for a home that has more than one storey high:
1. Always superimpose the 2nd storey layout onto the ground floor layout and vice-versa.
1.1. For the ground floor layout; always check that the 2nd storey toilet(s) especially the sewerage pipe and WC is not directly any "important" areas like : directly above the main entrance, above the dining table and/or above a bed and/or the kitchen stove and/or above an altar.
1.2. At the second storey, always check where is the stove at the ground floor in relation to the bed.

Is the Sales Brochure Useful for Feng Shui? Reading between the lines of the Sales Brochurehttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/15313-is-the-sales-brochure-useful-for-feng-shui-reading-between-the-lines-of-the-sales-brochure/ Introduction: For brand new just launched developments, there is no physical site to visit the completed buildings and apartments.

1. The only thing we can do is to visit the show room (which often is close-by to the site) as well as obtain a sales brochure and see the mock-up of the development. As well as try to ask questions from the sales agent (if any).

1.1. We must still try to gather as much information as we can.

2. Summary of Case Studies in this article.

If the information is overwhelming. Pick and choose selective articles...

1A & B: Common Rubbish Bin
2A & B: Interior unit Dry Walls
3: Fire at Heaven's Gate
4: Sha Qi or Poison Arrows from Club-house roof-lines
5: 3 Panel Sliding Doors at the Balcony
6: Drainage at the Balcony
7: Air-con Ledges
8: Mixed Developments + Cooling Towers
9: Termite infestations
10: Coffee-shop below or near to unit
11: Water tank at roof-top
12: Lamp Posts, Pillars, Tree Trunks
13: Spice Garden in an EC/condo
14: EC/condo Clubhouse
15A & B: Pneumatic Waste Collection System
16: Look closely at the development's scale model for clues
17: Buying a Mixed development apartment
18: Survey or study facilities surrounding the development
19: Pump Room below a unit
20: Seven Commandments of Stove Placement
21: Is there a potential poison arrow from the neighbours?
22: Should I be concerned with a near-by temple, church, mosque &/or elder care?
23: Is the compass marking on the Sales Brochure accurate?
24: Sites reserved for Schools?
25: Doors face each other? [Main Door/Bedrooms]
26: Unit numbers with 4, 44 or 444 Okay?

27: Stove or sink or WC at the Centre of the house?

3. It is always an excellent idea to spent some time to scrutinise a prospective sales brochure of our potential buy (purchase).

49651023_salesbrochureatreasuretrove.png.afca5f2b95a493eef57294c48a2b4858.png4. Recently, more and more clients have discovered to their shock (horror) that the least expected was the location of the central rubbish bin outside their unit.

5. A year ago; many had purchased a premium unit within the development .. and later shocked to learn that the central rubbish chute (for their entire floor) is just next to their main door!

6. Thus the morale of the story is to check first before signing on the dotted line.

7. In general, most developments have these:-

8.1. A central rubbish collection centre / rubbish bin collection point

8.2. Power Sub-station. Every development usually has one or more of these depending on the size of the development.

8.3. Design of club-house roof-lines / trellis / gazebo / pavilion. Are the designs a "threat" e.g. with spikes or like a razor's edge? Usually these are aimed towards lower storeys.

8.4. Any poison arrows in the form of a sharp corner of another block of neighbouring stack aimed towards one's balcony (hard to cure) or towards one's windows (if any)

8.5. Location of areas like BBQ pits and any impact e.g. the smell from these pits towards a unit.. especially low storeys such as #01 or #02 first or second storeys

8.6. Any tree trunk aimed towards a lower unit e.g. #01 or #02. Unfortunately it may be too late; especially if the development is under construction.

9. There are lots more considerations...

9.1. Do remember "Read in-between" the lines..

TRILIVE reading between the lines.png

10. [Below] More: A flow chart = general overview of what to look out for in a Sales Brochure.

Consideration: Are vinyl floor tiles safe for residential use? Are there any potential adverse effects to be aware of?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/16834-consideration-are-vinyl-floor-tiles-safe-for-residential-use-are-there-any-potential-adverse-effects-to-be-aware-of/ Food for Thought: Vinyl Floor tiles for homes: Is it safe? Any side-effects (if any?)

366595084_SampleofaVinylFloortile.jpg.f9e5e38a7581896bb3b9da4f697d111c.jpgThese are some considerations:

1. Earlier today, my client was examining the Feng Shui of their new residence.

1.1 The floor tiles in their HDB flat are uncovered. She disclosed that she works as a scientist and expressed her worries to me.

1.2 Except for the kitchen and toilets, her husband wants the entire house to be covered with vinyl tiles.

2. Nevertheless, she has recently conducted research on plastics, including melamine plastic plates, milk bottles, and even vinyl tiles

1693405690_Childrenandvinyltiles.png.98db8256d61f777dc2e1d886f45bc7e9.pngRight: Does not matter if boy or girl...baby or toddler..

3. She mentioned that her daughter is still a child and will spend a lot of time on the floor. The appeal of vinyl for them lies in its resemblance to the look and feel of wood. Additionally, unlike tiles, vinyl does not feel cold when touched.

4. The issue she is worried about is that even after installing the vinyl tiles, they may continue to emit chemicals.

399757219_SampleofaVinylFloortile1.jpg.06c10220a4954d0982773bb83f6e5b01.jpg5. If her child were a teenager or adult, she wouldn't be as concerned. However, because her child is young, they will be spending time near these vinyl tiles.

6. Due to the lack of extensive research, there is limited knowledge regarding any potential dangers.

7. She also worried that plastic milk bottles undergo a chemical change when hot liquids above 60 degrees are poured into them. As a child, she had her fair share of this concern.

8. Anything to take note when installing external blinds or zip-tracks?

8.1. In the present day, there is a proliferation of condos and ECs featuring balconies. I have discussed with numerous clients the importance of being cautious when it comes to the installation of external blinds or zip tracks.

8.2. This is due to the fact that not all brands are of the same quality.

8.3. The reason behind this caution is that the external blinds of many units are frequently exposed to intense sunlight, whether it be in the morning or afternoon.

8.4. Furthermore, certain blinds, when subjected to heat, may undergo chemical changes that result in the emission of toxic vapors.

9. It is advisable to take this factor into consideration when decorating your home.

9.1. This area has not been explored before.

9.2. The buyer should be cautious.

9.3. Is it a matter of being cautious rather than regretful?

The Feng Shui Ruler Small Talk: Meet the The Feng Shui Ruler Whispererhttps://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/19351-the-feng-shui-ruler-small-talk-meet-the-the-feng-shui-ruler-whisperer/ Case Study: Morning Cecil, would like to check with you for main door. What is a good dimensions. ID asking. Thanks

[FSM = Feng Shui Master]

FSM: 1. The options are either two doors or one door with a half leaf. The dimensions seem quite different. It would be helpful to know the proposal in order to make necessary adjustments. This approach makes more sense since it was suggested by the initiator.

FSM: 2. Thank you for verifying, the system consists of a single door measuring between 1 meter to 1.15 meters.

FSM: 3. The ideal width is 42 inches, with an acceptable range of 41 inches to a maximum of 43 inches.

image.thumb.png.55e62ab5f1b16d1696831d29a3d9d9ee.png

FSM: 4. The optimal height is 83 1/4 inches, with a margin of variance from 82 1/4 inches to 85 1/2 inches.

image.thumb.png.1323e7444946d6c94d1f018cd4287e56.png

FSM: 5. May be Utopian for your new house if the timber frame is THICK.

FSM: 5.1. For instance, it would be preferable but not mandatory if the DOOR dimension is 41 inches, and the door along with both sides of the frame totals 43 inches.

FSM: 6. Historically, it was feasible to have a 1st generation or 2nd generation HDB flat where the door and frame combined were all "RED".

FSM: 7. If a greater height is desired, please indicate the proposed range. Thank you.

FSM: 8. Alternatively, the height can be in increments of 17 inches or 43 cm. For example, 43 cm X 5 = 215 cm.
Reference:

Thanks Master. Very detail & informative. I'll let ID know 42 inches for width (including both sides of frame), 83 1/4 for height (including frames). We will forward you the 3D design as well once ID has finalised for you comments. Thanks & have a blessed weekend

FSM: 9. Please note that the ideal width for the opening is 42 inches, but it can range from 41 to a maximum of 43 inches. The frame is considered optional, not a necessity.

FSM: 10. In some cases, your doors may be large and require thicker frames. Unlike certain HDB units in the past, where metallic frames were common and much thinner.

What misconceptions exist regarding the use of ceiling fans in Feng Shui? Are ceiling fans considered appropriate for bedrooms? image.thumb.jpeg.56fd1d495363d4edd6f2bdfc78650079.jpeg

Are you the man-of-the house with no maid? This could be your arm! LOL - Cecil Lee, Geomancy.net

Case Study 1: Would it be acceptable to have a ceiling fan installed in the bedroom?

902448206_installceilingfan.thumb.gif.6178aff081a91ad702d3c9b46f070665.gif1. Question Asked: How can the Feng Shui Master approve the installation of a ceiling fan in the bedroom?

2. Nevertheless, I was taken aback during my housewarming when many of my relatives and friends claimed that it is considered unlucky to have it!

3. Whose advice should I trust?

4. Do you tend to be influenced by others' opinions? And do you sometimes feel anxious when faced with such negative information?

4.1. The primary reasons for the negative connotations of installing a ceiling fan in the bedroom include:

a. The belief that having the central mass directly above one's body, particularly the stomach area, is inauspicious.

b. Concerns about the ceiling fan potentially falling off.

c. The perception that the fan blades resemble sha qi or "poison arrows."

6. In my view, numerous homeowners of various property types have opted to install ceiling fans in their bedrooms.

6.1. Ceiling fans are cost-effective and have the ability to distribute air across a larger area compared to pedestal fans.

6.2. If the presence of the fan directly above the stomach area causes discomfort, consider installing it in a different location.

6.2.1. Nowadays, many ceiling fans, particularly the DC models, have a reduced center of mass. Alternatively, explore the range of KDK fans, known for their small and curved center of mass. 7. Concerned about a ceiling fan falling?

7.1. There are usually warning signs or a period of time before a ceiling fan falls.

7.2. In the event of a fall, the fan should still be supported by the wires.

7.3. Furthermore, modern ceiling fan blades are typically made of plastic or wood, rather than metal, making them less hazardous.

8. Based on my conversations with clients, the primary reason for their aversion to ceiling fans is the inconvenience of cleaning the blades.

9. Is common sense a factor to consider?

9.1. It is not advisable to install a ceiling fan in a bedroom with a bunk bed and low ceiling height, as it is not practical.

The idea is to mask the lower half of the kitchen so that the internal organs will not be seen from the main entrance door:-709B9DA1-3D55-40D9-B647-C32662951154.thumb.png.6bf75b44481a167cefbae4e43e3a4893.png

Can an altar face a dining table?https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/15122-can-an-altar-face-a-dining-table/

Question: No choice to put dining table in the middle of the living room as it is small. ?Just hope that it is not an issue as it is right in front of the altar?

Reply:

" The proposed layout is also ok. Only thing is that for practical reasons; the dining table in the living room is right in the middle; this not sure if it is hinders movement especially for the elderly."

As I mentioned earlier, many landed properties with an altar have it facing the dining table: See attachment.

You will notice that the altar is often placed at the red arrow area. Which is facing the dining area/table.

P.S. In the above illustration; please ignore the bed sharing the same wall as the altar. As the bed-head must not share the same wall as an altar. Anyway, in this illustration, the bed-head can easily be flipped to the opposite wall!
